Gut & Vaginal Microbiome Testing With a Personalized Plan
You can eat well and still feel like something is off.
Maybe you are dealing with bloating, irregular bowel movements, food reactions, or low energy. Maybe vaginal discomfort keeps coming back, even after you have already tried to address it.
At some point, guessing gets tiring.
A BiomeFx™ gut microbiome test or vaginal microbiome test gives us a closer look at the microorganisms living in that environment. But I do not hand you a complicated report and leave you to figure it out alone. We review your results together, connect them with your symptoms and health history, and build a practical plan for your real life.

Testing and consultation pricing
You should know the cost before you decide.
BiomeFx™ test kit — $499
One at-home BiomeFx test kit, laboratory analysis, and your results report. We first discuss whether the gut or vaginal microbiome test fits your goals.
1:1 results consultation and personalized plan — $280
One at-home BiomeFx test kit, laboratory analysis, and your results report. We first discuss whether the gut or vaginal microbiome test fits your goals.
We review your health history, symptoms, diet, medications, and supplements. Then I explain your report in simple language and give you clear nutrition, lifestyle, and supplement priorities based on the full picture.
The test and consultation are purchased separately.
The total for one test plus 1:1 interpretation and a personalized plan is $779
A test is useful only when you know what to do next
You can order a gut health test online. You can read about probiotics. You can remove more foods and hope something changes.
The problem is that more information does not always bring more clarity.
Two people can have the same symptom for very different reasons. Their diets, medications, stress, sleep, health history, and microbial patterns may be completely different. So why would the same supplement list work for both of them?
It usually does not.
That is why I use your test results as one part of the picture, not the whole story. The goal is not to chase every number on the report. The goal is to understand the patterns that matter and choose a few realistic next steps.
BiomeFx™ Stool Test
BiomeFx is an at-home gut microbiome test that uses shotgun metagenomic whole-genome sequencing. In simple language, it looks at microbial DNA in your stool sample to show which microorganisms are present and what functions they may be able to perform.
The report can help us review:
The overall diversity of your gut microbiome
Beneficial, neutral, and potentially disruptive microorganisms
Important or “keystone” species that help support the wider microbial community
Patterns in microbial balance and interaction
Microbial pathways connected with short-chain fatty acids and other metabolites
The genetic potential for certain vitamin, neurotransmitter, and nutrient-related functions
How your current microbial picture compares with reference data in the report
This is more detailed than a basic gut bacteria test that only lists a small number of organisms. It looks at composition and function. That extra context can help us ask better questions about food, digestion, lifestyle, and support.
It is still important to be clear: a microbiome stool test does not measure every process in your body. A microbial pathway shows potential activity. It does not prove what is happening in your blood, brain, or other tissues.
The results are information, not a diagnosis.
Who may consider gut health testing?
A gut test may be worth discussing if you have been trying to improve your digestion but still do not know what fits your body.
People often come to me with concerns such as:
Frequent bloating or gas
Constipation, loose stools, or bowel habits that keep changing
Food reactions that are hard to understand
Low energy that seems connected with meals or digestion
Difficulty building a varied diet without discomfort
A long list of supplements with no clear plan
The feeling that generic gut advice is not getting you anywhere
Symptoms can have many causes. Some require medical testing or treatment. A gut biome test should not be used to rule out a disease or explain a serious or persistent symptom on its own.
If you have severe pain, blood in your stool, ongoing vomiting, fever, unexplained weight loss, black stools, or another urgent concern, contact a physician promptly.
BiomeFx™ Vaginal Microbiome Test
The vaginal microbiome is different from the gut microbiome. More diversity is not automatically better.
In many healthy vaginal environments, Lactobacillus species help maintain an acidic pH and keep other microorganisms in balance. Hormones, age, sexual activity, medications, hygiene products, illness, and other factors may influence that ecosystem.
The BiomeFx vaginal microbiome test uses a simple at-home swab. It reports the abundance of Lactobacillus species, opportunistic bacteria, and Candida detected in the sample.
Vaginal microbiome testing may be useful to discuss if you notice:
Discomfort that keeps returning
Changes in discharge or odor
Dryness, irritation, or sensitivity
A pattern of yeast or bacterial imbalance
Symptoms that return after treatment
Questions about how to support vaginal balance over time
You do not need to feel embarrassed. These concerns are common, and they deserve a calm, practical conversation.
A vaginal microbiome test does not diagnose bacterial vaginosis, a yeast infection, a sexually transmitted infection, or another gynecologic condition. If you have current symptoms, pelvic pain, fever, unusual bleeding, pregnancy-related concerns, or possible STI exposure, contact your gynecologist or another qualified medical provider. Do not delay care while waiting for a microbiome test.
Gut microbiome test or comprehensive stool analysis?
These terms are often used as if they mean the same thing. They do not always mean the same thing.
| BiomeFx Gut Microbiome Test | Comprehensive Stool Analysis | |
|---|---|---|
| Main focus | The composition and functional potential of the gut microbial ecosystem | Varies by laboratory and may include digestive, inflammatory, immune, pathogen, or parasite markers |
| Method | Shotgun metagenomic whole-genome sequencing of microbial DNA | Depends on the laboratory and the markers ordered |
| Best used for | Personalized nutrition and lifestyle conversations based on microbial patterns | Medical investigation when selected and interpreted by a qualified clinician |
